My camera battery died the first morning, so most of these pictures are from the last day, hence the predominance of 4-H folk. It was a great fair weekend, and a fine way to finish the summer.
We were unable to make any of the fairs this year so I appreciate the posting of the pics – now I can enjoy going to a fair vicariously through you!
It’s not the same – you’ll have to try and make it to a fair next year. My eldest chose not to go this year, and regretted it bitterly on Monday night.
Looks like a great way to spend a day. I miss country fairs like that.
We love a good country fair, but they just didn’t feature in our summer this year. It looks like you all had a tremendous time out. Love the photo of the Romney pair, lovely.
Living across the road from the fairgrounds makes it pretty much impossible to not go. Not to mention we are members of the Ag Society, and so get free entrance. I was in fact quite negative about going to the fair in the week leading up to it, definitely not in the mood, and then Saturday morning, I came in from early morning chores and found hubby booted and spurred, ready to take me up there for a coffee and to see at least the eggs and hay. The rest of course is history – we spent 3 or 4 hours each of the three days up there. :).
Your husband had the right idea, good man!
