The Real Food Media Contest

Michael Pollan posted a link to this contest on Facebook recently, and I thought I would share it here as well.

When you watch the 10 films (all short, don’t worry!), consider that one of the guidelines for the contest included these words:

“Bring to life the concept:  The hands that feed us”.

Good luck voting for just one.  I can’t decide.

Thanks for this, can’t wait to check it out!

  3. Thanks for sharing this. I accidently voted before watching any of them – so the Beekeepers got my vote.
BTW – I sent you an email re the Permaculture Voices event (Michael Pollan is one of the speakers). Not sure if I’ll get stuck in your spam mail.

I’m looking forward to watching these. Maybe we’ll do it tonight. It reminds me of how much good content there is out there for free. We’ve subscribed to Netflix for a long time. We used to get as many movies as we want but now we’re down to the minimum (2 a month I think) and haven’t watched one in months. The last one they mailed us is just sitting somewhere gathering dust.

We mainly watch documentaries (because that’s the kind of geeks we are) and these days there are lots of them available on line for free. So we’re about to cancel our subscription.

That’s not really relevant to your post, but seeing this group of videos reminds me that we could have a nice evening just watching and discussing them without having to pay Netflix anything.
